River Glen Ranks in Top Ten Amongst Indiana Golf Courses
Nationally renowned golf information website, Golf Link, recently touted River Glen CC as the 10th most popular course in the state of Indiana. Golf Link rates courses all over the country. Their list of the Best Indiana Golf Courses details the most popular public and private golf courses in the state of Indiana. Although similar lists are often produced by various golf publications, those magazines tend to rate golf courses based solely on subjective views and the limited experience of a handful of their editors. On the otherhand, Golf Link's list is calculated from a more objective range of factors, including the preferences of up to a million or more golfers that visit their site every month. Clearly, the golfing public has taken note of what a wonderful golf facility River Glen has become. The natural aesthetic appeal of the course at River Glen, combined with pristine playing conditions and friendly service are a few of the factors that have made River Glen a "must play" course in the state of Indiana. Come see what we have to offer, we invite you to be our guest in 2007. You will not be disappointed!

Golf Digest ranks Purgatory as one of "America's 50 Toughest Golf Courses" for 2007

We have just been notified that Purgatory made the prestigious list of toughest courses, ranking number 25. Here's what Golf Digest had to say;

"Who knew? Turns out hell's waiting room has 133 bunkers, knee-high rough and only three par 4s less than 450 yards. The unlucky 13th is a 741-yard par 5. Devilish."

We love the publicity, and it will certainly attract the daredevil golfer, but we'd like to remind you, the course can be as easy as you make it depending on the tees you select. When played from the far forward tees, it is a friendly 4,562 yards long.

Purgatory makes Top 50 Courses for Women Again!

We once again made the prestigious “Top 50 Courses for Women” by Golf for Women magazine. This is our fourth year to make this notable list. We were the only golf club in Indiana to qualify. Click here to see the entire article. Another reason to celebrate women at Purgatory Golf Club! Here's what they had to say about Purgatory.

“Bunkers--lots of them--define this "upscale daily-fee course," but they provide more of a visual than a playing hazard. Be sure to visit the excellent driving range and short-game practice area.”
